Bernardcast

Hey you, the rocksteady crew, what you gonna do? Make a break, make a move? Well, that has been the question on our lips at Melodic Towers today and luckily our next release answers that defiantly. It's been a good few years in the making but Outputmessage's debut 'Nebulae' is released in the UK on the 17th July and in the rest of the world on the 28th August. There have been the tracks on the Ghostly comps and a nigh on legendary Dabrye remix that you may have heard before, but now it's the real thing as it were. Mojo said this and gave it 4 stars (which sums it up better than we probably ever could): 'This has a strangely nostalgic feeling to it, like it's an attempt to recreate half-remembered pirate-radio transmissions from the weirder end of the rave scene circa 1991. Perhaps because, unlike much contemporary electronica, it is constructed from powerful, confident grooves and sweeping melodies. There's a touch of The Aphex Twin about it, but with populist enticement in place of icy insolence.'

Or, if you're based around Virginia, USA get a more tangible preview of the album from a forthcoming Outputmessage live show with Lymbyc Systym + Back Ted N Ted, June 29th @ Hyperlink, Richmond, VA.

Hear some of the album along with an interview with Bernard Farley on the brand new Melodic podcast that you can download, or subscribe to by simply dragging the red 'rss' button from the main melodic page into your iTunes software's 'podcast' section: melodic podcast 2

Remember, you can always buy our records online around a week or so before their release in the shops from our very own shop.

Blue Monday's Arms

Later in July sees us unleash the debut album from The Isles which we're ever so excited about (more news on that nearer the time) and in August watch out for a white label, numbered remix 12" of Harrisons' 'Mondays Arms' remixed by a secretive person by the name American Pop Band. Following that, in September there's a remix single from Department Of Eagles featuring Sailing By Night re-worked by Tunng and Daedelus.
